Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Rinse all ingredients with cold water. Break snow fungus into small pieces.
  2. Soak yi ren, adzuki beans, and sweet rice in filtered water for at least 3 hours (preferably overnight)
  3. Drain and rinse again.
  4. Add 8 cups of water or nut milk along with the tonic bag. Cook in a (preferably clay) pot until boiling. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Add the rest of all ingredients. Cook until tender and the mixture resembles oatmeal consistency. You can start with less liquid and then add, if not enough.
  6. Serve. Add sweetener as needed.
  7. Enjoy hot or cold.
